A House for Life

Location: Tehran, Iran

Type: Academic - My Master's Thesis Project

Supervisor: Dr. Punik Simoni

Date: Jan 2023

The main issue of this project is how to improve the quality of the house according to the concept of home and the lifestyle of the contemporary Iranian family in Tehran. For this purpose, in addition to studying and reviewing the sources that exist about the concepts of house and housing, attention has been paid to the lifestyle and daily behaviors of the residents of the house. The selected area for design is considered in the residential area of Hossein Abad neighborhood of Tehran. To gain insight into the daily life experiences of Iranian families in Tehran, the TV series "Green House" was used as a reference, as it depicts human relationships in homes with diverse compositions and age groups.

Rasht Library

Location: Rasht, Iran

Type: Academic

Date: 2019

The design of this library focuses on the core idea of a library as a valuable treasure trove of books, which guides the hierarchy of spaces. The library is designed to connect with the city, encouraging people to embrace reading through inviting ground-floor spaces. A cylindrical form was chosen to suit Rasht's humid climate, allowing for natural air circulation through strategically placed openings, while atriums on the terraces enhance spatial connectivity between floors.

Hotel in Old Kashan

Location: Kashan, Iran

Type: Academic

Date: 2020

The focus of this project was the design of an urban complex with various functions in the historic area of Kashan. The goal was to revitalize this historic area, bringing new life and activity to the site. Inspired by Kashan's introverted architecture and historical elements like Sabats (narrow alleyways) , windcatchers, central courtyards, and garden pits, all shaped by the hot, arid climate, I reinterpreted these traditional features in a modern way to meet contemporary needs.

Introduction to Design

Location: Virtual/Conceptual Spaces

Type: Academic

Date: 2016

Introduction to Design I & II were among the most exciting and challenging courses I took during my undergraduate studies. Through various exercises, model-making, and research, these classes broadened my perspective on architecture and deepened my knowledge. I explored concepts such as the meaning of architecture, the emotional impact of spaces, and the relationship between different forms of art and architecture. We concluded the term by focusing on site-specific forces and contextual design.

Humanity for the Future

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands

Type: Competition, Amsterdam light festival, Edition 14

Date:2024

In this installation, the lower part and the linear lights symbolize the present time, while the upper part and the spherical volumes represent the future. The linear lights have touch sensors that light up when touched by individuals, and they can also illuminate the spherical volume above them. This action signifies that human actions and behaviors in the present, create the future. The future can be bright and pleasant if humans act correctly and in alignment with humanity. Therefore, humanity can be a legacy for the future. In designing this installation, attention has been paid to social interactions in such a way that the spherical volumes at a higher elevation cause the colored lights to be seen from a distance, arousing people's curiosity and inviting them to this place. Additionally, the design of this work is inspired by Van Gogh's paintings and the tulip fields of the Netherlands.
